Engraved Glass
Degree show work. Exploring glass as wearable art, taking the beauty of glass and making it portable. Twice engraved glass, before and after being fired. Flashed, handmade glass.
The Flights of Fantasy exhibition took these hexagons and gave them more light and natural elements to contend with. This created a beautiful twinkling noise and was quite a shock to the birds living nearby. The piece had to be moved as it was keeping an eagle awake with all the reflections it was creating.
